The Design Section is an online design tool that offers design methods and lectures for Industrial Designers.  It aims to provide an organized and easy to follow free online resource and guide for both design students and professionals to equip them with design skills, knowledge, innovative and creative thinking capabilities.

DesignSectionErdem2Erdem Selek is an Assistant Professor at University of Oregon, Product Design program where he teaches design studio and lecture courses on product usability and  sketching for form development since 2015. Erdem began his career as a product designer working in various projects ranging from domestic appliances to naval architecture in Germany and Turkey and he pursued his academic career in Turkey, France and finally in New Zealand, where he taught industrial design for five years at Massey University before moving to the United States.

DesignSectionHaleHale Selek is an industrial designer and lecturer. She had been sharing her passion for design beyond borders and domains, at two universities and a range of departments including engineering, industrial design, product development and visual communication design in New Zealand between 2009 and 2013. Currently she teaches at University of Oregon, product design program, giving design studio courses. Having an experience in design education for non-designers and designers, following her natural inclination towards experimental designs, enjoying the detailing part in product design the most.
